Chapter 5 of the WINGS series explores Taehyung (V)’s solo, “Stigma.”

On stage, after RM ascends the staircase into “heaven,” V descends to the “earth.” In the short film, he is captured, echoing a Christ-like bearing of guilt. Beside him appears a dog—a mirror of the divine gaze: DOG → GOD.

In the short film, the dog symbolizes the eyes of God. Being barked at marks the moment one is seen by the Light. What was hidden is revealed; V chooses tears over escape—the beginning of confession.

✝️ From “Stigma” to “ON”

In the ON MV, V’s cross-bearing image extends “Stigma.” He moves from one who pleads for mercy to one who carries others’ burdens—a journey of atonement and rising again.

🌑 “Brother / Sister” — Who are they?

“I’m sorry, my brother / my sister”—symbols of innocence unprotected. They may be family, or the untainted self within. It’s the confession of a soul wounded by the knowledge of light.

“Stigma” = fall and repentance / “ON” = atonement and rising.

Light is not only judgment—it is the signal to awaken. The Dog is God’s mirror. When the Light finds us, we are finally able to choose truth.
