Did Jimin’s “Sparkle” Telepathy from Your Name. Carry a Bond to Japan ARMY?

During Jimin’s birthday live, he mentioned “Sparkle”—the song he and Jung Kook listened to while running during military service. It’s also the theme of the film Your Name., which I learned to love thanks to JK. I once wrote about this, but since that post is gone, I’m revisiting it here.

The film’s motif of the braided cord (kumihimo) connects deeply with BTS’s Love Yourself series. Through this song, I felt Jimin was sending telepathy: “We’re connected even when apart.”

🧶 “Musubi” = Time, People, Love

In Japanese tradition, a braided cord symbolizes “tying bonds.” In Your Name., Mitsuha’s grandmother says:

“Threads gather and take shape, twist and tangle, sometimes return, break, and connect again. That is the braided cord. That is time. That is connection.”

This mirrors the structure of Love Yourself: love is not a straight line—sometimes we part, miss each other, and then reconnect. Her → Tear → Answer forms a cycle of “musubi.”

💜 “Music + Heart = Love”

The Love Yourself VCRs look like a living braid—light, threads, and ripples of heartbeat weaving time and feelings together. The album covers also trace lines that loop like threads—prayer made visible: love circulates.

Music is an unseen thread. The heart is a vibrating knot. Therefore, music + heart = love.

💫 The Fukuoka Miracle of “Tying”

In 2016–2017 BTS experienced kumihimo making in Fukuoka (Fanclub Vol.5). I currently live in Fukuoka too.

Around that time, JK said, “If I go to Japan, I want to walk through Tokyo listening to the Your Name. soundtrack.” While saying that, they were braiding threads in Fukuoka. When I learned this later, it felt like we had been connected across time—an invisible bond I now try to weave into words.

🌸 My Feelings

BTS always hides “awakening telepathy” in casual moments. My first BTS event was the 2016-11-9 fan meeting “To You” at Marine Messe Fukuoka (Arena Row 13, Seat 56). Looking back, that day was my start of awakening.

Cheering for them taught me SNS, blogging, even how to build a website—so that I could join them in creating this “miracle.” I always feel: even apart, our hearts are tied.

🌕 What Is “Musubi”?

To tie is to care for someone and trust the bond—to meet again across distance and time. Like Your Name., BTS rewrites time with love.

The miracle in Your Name. and the miracle BTS weaves through music meet at the same place—the thread called Love. Now, it’s your turn to hold that thread. Believe in your own “musubi.” BTS and ARMY are connected at heart.
